Chemical abortion now is the leading form of abortion in the country, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of children every year across the country.

A sobering new report released by National Right to Life found that today, abortion pills end the lives of at least 60% of babies killed by abortions in the U.S. Thanks to the proliferation of mail-order abortion, increasing rates of women are taking dangerous chemical abortion drugs at home, without the oversight of licensed medical providers – leading to a host of serious complications that pro-abortion advocates repeatedly downplay or ignore despite the severe risks they pose to both babies and moms.

So far, the administration and FDA seem loathe to act on this pressing issue, despite the obvious risks of chemical abortion drugs, the fact that mail-order abortion undermines state pro-life laws, and the rates of serious adverse events they are wreaking on women nationwide.

While they wait, more women and children are harmed – and American taxpayers are forced to cooperate through their tax dollars. For many, this blatant disregard for life and wasteful spending is disgusting.

It’s long past time to enact commonsense legislation and support health care policies that prevent American taxpayers from being forced to fund medical procedures that undermine or end human life and human dignity.
