Solidarity recognizes the inherent difficulties and challenges that all patients undergo while navigating our healthcare system. However, we want to provide our Members with a different experience. Especially when they need to interact with the healthcare system much more than is typical. We have spent the last year recognizing the complexities and struggles associated with healthcare that leave patients feeling alone and confused. In response to feedback from Members about these difficulties, we have expanded our Care Coordination program to meet the needs of our Members.
Our team is very excited to share with you all the changes and improvements we have been working on to better serve you. Healthcare should never be something you have to do alone!

When to Use Care Coordination
Our Care Coordination program is designed to assist Members who are significantly utilizing the healthcare system. It can be hard to stay on top of everything when you are receiving lengthy, specialized care. For instance, Members who need major surgery, are undergoing cancer treatments, require life-affirming care, are pregnant and receiving maternity services, or any complex inpatient hospitalization. If you find yourself in any of these situations, we encourage you to reach out to us. We can help!
Our Care Coordination team can schedule a phone call with you to help you understand how medical billing works for each of these types of care. They will then guide you through your individual medical and billing situation, making sure that you get the most out of your Membership. Our Care Coordinators will often assist Members with bill processing, billing questions, and are able to initiate negotiations between your provider and our Provider Relations team to set up billing arrangements. This allows you to have a single point of contact with Solidarity to help with anything related to your condition. The Care Coordination team is here to walk with you as your advocate in our complex and confusing healthcare system.

Getting in touch with Care Coordination is simple. You can call in at any time to our Member Care team. Call 844-313-4999 and let them know about your situation. They can send an immediate request for outreach to our Care Coordination team, who will respond within 24 hrs. Or you can fill out this online form and the team will reach back out to you directly.
Why it Matters
We take our calling as a ministry very seriously. At our core, Solidarity HealthShare is a community of like-minded individuals that have come together to share the burden of healthcare needs in common. But this burden is not just the cost of healthcare. It also includes the stress of healthcare, and the work of managing everything. When one of our Members becomes sick, or experiences the unexpected, our community would never want that Member to feel alone and unsure of where to turn to for help. Whether you are dealing with something stressful like an illness, a diagnosis process, or even something as joyful as pregnancy, it can be overwhelming.
