The Trump Administration’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has ramped up efforts to hold United States health organizations accountable for price transparency. After years of crippling price obscurity that has resulted in more illness and poverty among many citizens, CMS issued a series of fines, from 2022 to 2026, against 28 hospitals across the nation for allegedly violating price transparency requirements.
