Health Insurance premiums have outstripped inflation

Health Insurance Premiums Are Soaring Even as Inflation Eases

Health Insurance Premiums are continuing to drive up the cost of family coverage. They have brought the cost up to $25,500 this year for workers and their employers. These prices are obviously unsustainable, and something needs to change.

Health inurance premiums are spiraling upwards with no end in sight

Two years in a row, the cost of employer health insurance rose by seven percent. This year alone, employers spent an average of $19,276 on family health insurance premiums. Many employers and benefit consultants say that health insurance costs will rise even higher in 2025. After all, hospitals have been winning new contracts with bigger price increases, in an effort to offset the cost of salary raises for their own staff.

In fact, the average deductible for large companies shot up by four percent for employees with single coverage this year. However, workers at smaller sized companies experienced deductibles rising six percent.

This Open Enrollment Season, many people enrolled in health insurance are being forced to reconsider the affordability of their plans. Even the most cost friendly health insurance premiums are on the rise. The good news is that they can secure lower rates and prices for comprehensive coverage – all while also achieving moral and ethical alignment with the providers they choose.

Healthcare can cost less while giving more

By joining Solidarity HealthShare, patients can score affordable, holistic care of their own choosing. All while forgoing deductibles and sky high monthly costs that come with traditional insurance plans. Solidarity Memberships start at $85 for individuals, $336 for couples, and $512 for families. To find out exactly what it would cost for your family, we encourage you to visit our Pricing Calculator. Solidarity is also more comprehensive than a traiditonal insurance plan. We share into things like unlimited mental health counseling, maternity care with midwifery, naturopathic and alternative care, life-affirming fertility treatments, and much more that insurance refuses to cover. And you are sharing among a likeminded community of Members.

The bottom line is: patients should not have to choose between low prices or receiving the care they need. So Solidarity is happy to offer both.

Even compared to other health sharing ministries, Solidarity offers outstanding sharable services. One area in particular that is lacking in the healthsharing space is a focus on mental health. Many healthshares do not view mental health as part of your physical health. Thus, they don’t include it in their medical sharing, or severely limit it. We believe, on the other hand, that mental health care is vital for human flourishing. We are the only ministry that shares into unlimited visits for mental health therapy (including treatment for marriage and family counseling). Our team has cultivated partnerships with high quality, faithful therapists and counselors all across the country, and we encourage our Members to make sure that they utilize their services.
